Banana Fibre Woven Basket

Hand woven banana fibres create an earthy, textured look in this basket collection. Use yours as a planter for cacti and succulents, a flower pot for indoor house plants, or a large planter for bigger shrubs.

The MATUNDA natural woven baskets boast a stippled pattern of sand and natural grass hues, and are hand woven from sisal in Kenya.

The Basket Room is proud to work with weaving cooperatives in several rural corners of Africa, and the talented craftswomen in this particular women’s weaving group are work within a thriving cooperative which is growing in numbers continually under the guidance of its inspirational Chairlady, Madam Dorcas. These women are extremely accomplished in producing these design baskets, each writing their name on a card with each basket they make.
